Tar + Feather approached me to work on this new short feature to accompany the new Wesley Snipes film, "The Recall" and it will now be a front-page feature in the Oculus and Daydream stores!

I was tasked with upmixing a 5.1 surround mix into a spatialized ambisonic mix for VR. For this I created virtual 5.1 speaker sources in the space, adjusted for the most convincing spatial positioning.

Travis Button of Tar + Feather contacted me to design sound and do audio mixing for this 360 video produced by Red Bull Music because of my previous experience working as both a mixing engineer, sound designer, and also my unique experience having worked with spatial ambisonic audio.

Since the video did not include an audio track other than the music, I built the sound design from the ground up and mixed it using Reaper and the Facebook360 audio tools.*

More info and extended credits available at the Tar + Feather site

* Some additional sound design during the middle of the video was provided by the client's in-house sound team.

I was contacted by Jeanine Oleson who was in residence at The Hammer Museum on Los Angeles, CA to help create and perform the music for her new theatrical performance along with Tim Aaron.

Additionally, I was tasked with utilizing data provided by sensors attached to Jeanine's custom instrument in order to create an algorithmic and interactive music component to the theatre piece. This was done by interfacing with an Arduino, attached temperature sensors, and it was all analyzed and transformed into music via the SuperCollider programming language.

Directed by: Jeanine Oleson
Performers: Tim Aaron, Scott Cazan, Rachel Higgins, Sharon Kim, and Jeanine Oleson
Sets: Rachel Higgins
Initial sensor programming by Gil Gentil.

The show ran for two days at the Hammer Museum in May of 2017.
