I was contacted by Jeanine Oleson who was in residence at The Hammer Museum on Los Angeles, CA to help create and perform the music for her new theatrical performance along with Tim Aaron.
Additionally, I was tasked with utilizing data provided by sensors attached to Jeanine's custom instrument in order to create an algorithmic and interactive music component to the theatre piece. This was done by interfacing with an Arduino, attached temperature sensors, and it was all analyzed and transformed into music via the SuperCollider programming language.
Directed by: Jeanine Oleson
Performers: Tim Aaron, Scott Cazan, Rachel Higgins, Sharon Kim, and Jeanine Oleson
Sets: Rachel Higgins
Initial sensor programming by Gil Gentil.
The show ran for two days at the Hammer Museum in May of 2017.
